A few kind words from our valued clients

I have the highest regard for Marina Allen and her recent care she gave both my elderly parents and the way she went on to care for my whole family during a very distressing episode after the past few months.
Marina was incredible. She is a devoted, naturally caring person with many years of nursing experience and goes above and beyond what is demanded of her. She is respectful, strong and also very perceptive.
Marina took care of everything for us, including getting medication, doing washing, liaising with doctors and being a friend to our mother.

A proud mention...

Marina, our founder of Cruise Companions, has been given recognition  in Anna Wilson's heartfelt memoir 'A place for everything', for her outstanding contribution to the care industry. Wilson's account shares her story about life growing up with her Mother who was diagnosed with autism in later life, in this profound and honest autobiography.

"Time and again I meet women - for they are more often than not women - often not paid, and when they are, always underpaid anyway. Women who have given up vast swathes of their own time to care for others; who know what it is to sit with someone hour after hour; who have been told more than once to go away, and yet who keep coming back. To wash and dress and clean and cook, yes. But, more than this, to sit. To hold a hand, to stroke a cheek, to wipe a tear, to give a hug. These people are priceless.
Marina is one such woman. She has cared for and helped other people all her life. Her own kids. Other people's. She tells us of the years and years she has spent caring for people. Old people, sick people, angry people, people feeling guilty, people feeling broken-hearted, people at the end of their tether. She gets it."
